Darrel R. Hayes, age 80, of Attleboro, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, May 29, 1940.
Born in Attleboro, MA on May 29, 1940, he was a loving son of the late Eva (Robinson) Hayes. He lived in Attleboro for most of his life and also resided in Fresno, California.
Darrel grew up in Attleboro, was a graduate of Attleboro High School and proudly served in the United States Air Force National Guard in California. Prior to retiring, he worked very hard for twenty-six years as a clerk at Stop & Shop in North Attleboro.
He is survived by his close friends including Michael Toole of Norton and Susan Kane of Cumberland, Rhode Island.
Friends are cordially invited to attend a graveside funeral service on Tuesday, May 4th at 11:30 A.M. at the Timothy Plain Cemetery in Norton.
Visiting hours are omitted and those wishing may remember Darrel with a donation in his memory made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
