Dana G. ”Pops” Rodman, age 63, of Foxborough, formerly of Norton, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 18, 2019 at Norwood Hospital in Norwood.

Born in Chelsea, MA on February 19, 1956, he was a loving son of the late Jerry and Anne (Kenny) Rodman.

Dana grew up in Foxborough and was a 1974 graduate of Foxborough High School. He attended Roger Williams University and proudly served his country as a member of the United States Air Force.

Most of his working career was spent at Rodman Ford in Foxborough and he was also employed as a Fleet Manager at Balise Ford in Hyannis for several years.

A man of deep Christian faith, Dana was a former member and charter member of the Mansfield Lodge of Elks and also a former member of the Mansfield Jaycee’s and the Norton Lions Club.

Dana received great pleasure spending time amongst family, especially with his granddaughter and was anticipating the birth of his second grandchild. He was an avid and number one fan of the New England Patriots and also enjoyed boating, golfing and bowling.

He is survived by his devoted children: Jason R. Rodman and his wife Miranda of Mansfield and Meredith T. Harris and her husband Mike of Marlborough. He was the proud and adoring grandfather of Abigail Claire. He was the dear brother of Scot Rodman of Foxborough, Dotty Zaccardi and her husband Phil of Norfolk and the late Patty Rodman Martin, who is survived by her husband Roger Martin of Norfolk. He was the former husband of his best friend of Roberta “Bobbie” Harris and is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Wednesday, July 24th from 5:00-7:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main St., Mansfield.

A service in celebration of his life will be held at 7:00 P.M. at the conclusion of visitation in the funeral home. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, Dana’s family has requested that donations in his memory be made to the Rodman Ride for Kids, 10 Lincoln Road, Foxborough, MA 02035.
