Shirlene Mcleod Lee, 91, of Ashburn passed away Thursday, April 11, 2019 at Pruitt Healthcare in Ashburn.
Shirlene was born on May 21, 1927 in Turner County to the late Lonnie and Maggie L. Alberson McLeod. She retired from the Turner County School System where she was a paraprofessional and a bus driver. Shirlene volunteered with Sam Shortline Railroad in Crisp County and was a member of the Keenagers Club. She was also a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughter, Linda (Bill) Taylor of Arabi; granddaughters, Ivey Taylor (Brad) Hamilton of Sturgis, South Dakota and Lori Taylor (Elvis) Leon of Tonopah, Nevada; great-grandchildren, Kylee Hamilton and Kaleb Hamilton. Funeral services will be held Monday, April 15, 2019 at 2:30 PM at Perry Funeral Chapel with interment to follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 1:00 PM until 2:15 PM Monday, April 15, 2019 at the funeral home. | ||||
