Ralph Di Girolamo, of Winchester and Somerville, passed away on Sunday, August 9th. Ralph was 100 years old. Born and raised in Roccasicura (Isernia) Italy, he was the son of the late Ettore and Assunta (Di Benedetto) Di Girolamo. Ralph lost his mother at the age of six. Searching for a better life, Ralph immigrated to the United States in 1949 on a three month visa. Once in the U.S., he met and married the love of his life, Yolanda (Lolly) who was fresh out of high school. They married in 1950 and stayed married for 74 years.

After many various jobs, Ralph went down a different career path in 1980, devoting his full time efforts to acquiring and managing real estate. Over the next four decades, through hard work, determination and the help of his beloved wife, he assembled a substantial portfolio of residential and commercial properties, located primarily in Eastern Massachusetts and throughout New England. For the last several years, his son Richard Di Girolamo, has managed The Di Girolamo Companies, a holding and real estate management company, for Ralph’s various real estate interests.

Ralph was the beloved husband of the late Yolanda (Di Martino) Di Girolamo who predeceased him in 2024. He was the devoted father of Attorney Richard Di Girolamo, of Winchester, and the loving grandfather of Assunta Di Girolamo of Naples, Florida.

Visiting hours will be held in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford on Monday, August 17th from 4 to 8 PM, and again on Tuesday, August 18th at 9 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated in St. Eulalia Church, 50 Ridge St., Winchester, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Ralph’s services will conclude with entombment at Carthage Mausoleum 1 in Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett.
