AGAWAM – Mary Faith Collamore, 63, of Agawam, was Called Safely Home on Friday, July 24, 2026. She passed into Eternal Life at Mercy Medical Center in Springfield, surrounded by the care and comfort of her loving family. She was born in Springfield on May 12, 1963, the beloved daughter of the late Leonard J. Collamore, who was Called Home on January 31, 2008, and Rosemary F. (Hallinan) Collamore, who was Called Home on September 3, 2025. She was raised in Springfield and graduated from Cathedral High School, where she played basketball. She continued her education, earning her Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Westfield State University and her Master’s Degree from American International College in Springfield. Mary dedicated her career to the Springfield Public Schools, where she last taught at Sumner Avenue Elementary School. She was a proud member of the Massachusetts Teachers Association. She was also a longtime volunteer at Mercy Medical Center. In addition, she found great joy in volunteering through art and music therapy at Heritage Hall Nursing Home, where she shared her compassion, creativity, and kindness with residents. She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church in Springfield. Mary also enjoyed working at the YMCA’s summer camps, where she found fulfillment in spending time with children and helping them learn and grow. Mary cherished spending time with her family, especially at their beloved Cape Cod home in Marion, where she treasured countless summers and created cherished memories with her family. She loved listening to music, playing the guitar, cheering on the New England Patriots, and spending time with her beloved feline companions, Riley and Teagan. Above all, Mary will always be remembered for her kind heart, generous spirit, and willingness to help anyone in need. Her warmth, compassion, and quiet acts of kindness touched countless lives, and she will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She leaves her loving brother, Robert L. Collamore, and his wife, Donna, of Springfield; her cherished nephew, Brian L. Collamore and his wife, Emily, of Southbridge; her cherished grandnephew, Oliver L. Collamore; her dear aunt, Gertrude Vigneault of New Jersey; her dear uncle, Ronald Collamore of Holyoke; and numerous cousins, extended family members, and many dear friends. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her dear brother, David F. Collamore. Her relatives and friends are invited to a Burial Service on Friday, August 14, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Saint Michael Cemetery, 1601 State Street, Springfield, MA 01109. There are no visiting hours.
