Obituary

Stephanie Leigh Morrison, 54 years of Revere, Mass, passed away on Thursday, June 18, 2026 at Beth Israel Hospital after a brief illness.

She was born in Cambridge on November 20, 1971 to parents Donald and Nancy Morrison.
Stephanie grew up in Randolph and Acton. She attended Acton Public Schools and graduated in 1989. She received an Associate’s degree from Dean College. Over the years Steph worked in executive administrative roles, sales and excelled in finance. One of her proudest moments was earning her Series 7 license and working as a registered securities representative for State Street Bank. She fondly cherished her childhood memories which included summers spent at Flagg Hill and Nashoba Valley pond with The Killoy, Avery and Dillon families. Steph’s favorite vacations included visits to Hampton Beach and Alton Bay at Lake Winnipesaukee where she enjoyed friend clams at The Tamarack Seafood shack. She loved Christmas and enjoyed decorating to the sound of classic Christmas carols with her mom. Steph had a very close relationship with her dad whom she always called “Pops.” He was her go to guy for everything and always had her back. When he passed in 2010 from a heart attack, Steph forever had an emptiness in her heart. She donated yearly to the American Heart Association in his memory. Steph was a city girl and spent many years living in South Boston “Southie” which she called home for the majority of her life. Most recently, Steph moved to Revere Beach and found her greatest peace by the ocean.

Steph was predeceased by both parents, Donald and Nancy and brother Matt. She is survived by her sisters Robin (Nashville, TN) and Brittany and her husband Rick and beloved niece Racquel (Nashua, NH). She is also survived by her ex-husband John Kamau Maina (Raynham, Ma). In the last few weeks of her life Steph found comfort and reassurance in her friend Stephen and sisters Robin and Brittany. We had plans to help her decorate her new beach apartment and walk to Kelly’s Roast Beef. You were a character Steph! We will forever miss you and remember the good times we had as a family. We hope you are up in heaven having many laughs with your favorite people including Pops, Uncle Ross and Cousin Donnie…….May your soul rest in eternal peace.

A service of remembrance will be held on Sunday, July 26th at 4pm at Mt. Hope Cemetery in West Acton, Ma. Family and friends are invited to stay after for a reception dinner at The Bamboo in Westford. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be sent to the MSPC Animal Shelter at 350 South Huntington Ave. Boston, Ma.
