SPRINGFIELD - Judith E. "Reg" (Driscoll) Vecchiarelli, of the Atwater Park section of Springfield, was Called Safely Home on Sunday, May 3, 2026. She passed into Eternal Life at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield surrounded by the care and comfort of her loving family. She was born in August 26, 1940, the beloved daughter of the late William F. and Evelyn M. (Fitzgerald) Driscoll. She was raised and educated in Windsor Locks, CT and had moved to Springfield in 1976 where she lived the remainder of her life. She was employed as a Liaison with the State of Connecticut Judicial Department for 30 years. She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church in Springfield and was a member of the Red Hat Society of Enfield, CT. During her leisure time, she enjoyed bowling, cheering on the UCONN Women's Basketball Team and visiting with friends for breakfast and lunch locally. Above all, she loved spending time with her family and friends. She leaves her beloved husband and best friend, Joseph F. Vecchiarelli. They were married on June 18, 1976 in Enfield, CT and were blessed with over 49 years of happiness together. She also leaves her loving daughter, Sarah of Dunedin, FL; her two cherished grandsons, Bryan and Branden; her dear brother in law, John Vecchiarelli and his wife, Kathy, of South Carolina; her dear sister in law, Louise Tetreault of North Carolina; and her many dear nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family members and friends. She will also be missed by her devoted canine companion, her English Setter, KC. Her funeral will be held on Friday, May 29, 2026 beginning at the St. Pierre-Phaneuf Springfield Chapels, (413-737-1177), 7 Chapin Terrace, Springfield, MA 01107, (funeral home will open at 8:30 a.m.), followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, 395 Chestnut Street, Springfield, MA 01104. Her burial will be private. Her family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, May 29, 2026 from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. prior to her Mass.
