Linda Medeiros Palace, 65, of Ventura, CA, passed away from pancreatic cancer on February 11, 2026 in Thousand Oaks. Linda was born in Oxnard, CA to Martin Medeiros and Eleanor Kailiahi on November 18, 1960. She went to high school at Hueneme High and graduated in 1979.
Linda was a mother to 5 children and 2 grandchildren. Her family and her faith were the center of her life. When her kids were young, she homeschooled her 4 children while working full-time at Southern California Edison (where she worked for 44 years). For many years, after work, she would hustle to attend all her kids’ sports games and extracurriculars. She was a fixture at Montalvo Little League. She ran the snack bar and served on the Little League Board for many years even after her son had left the league.
Linda believed strongly in the spirit of volunteerism: for many years she advanced “Bring Your Kids to Work” day at Edison; she volunteered with Teen Challenge and Relay for Life Cancer Walks; she served as an Awana leader; she started a Manna Store for kids at her church – and these are just a few of her contributions. She was always thinking of others and never showed up empty-handed, she often had a word of encouragement or the perfect gift.
Linda enjoyed having multiple side businesses, even though she gave away most of her profits in freebies. Linda was extremely hard-working, but she always knew how to have a good time. As soon as Friday came around, she was often up until 2am playing backgammon and cards with friends. So many people wanted a piece of Linda. She loved games of all kinds and always had a competition planned for family gatherings. She loved to fill her free time with pickleball and spending time with her friends and family from all over.
Linda is survived by her husband of 35 years, Roger Palace, of Ventura. They met at Southern California Edison in the 80s. They both shared a strong Christian faith and a desire to create a large, loving family. Linda and Roger were baseball parents, and some of their best memories were traveling across the country together to watch their son Nathaniel play baseball. Linda is survived by her children: Natasha, Elana, Liana, Nathaniel, and Rebecca. Linda’s thoughtfulness, empathy, practical wisdom, outrageous humor, and zeal for life will be profoundly missed. Linda was a singular human.
Linda’s Celebration of Life will be held at Poinsettia Pavilion on February 28, 2026 at 1pm. Her nephew, Ryan Alldaffer, will be officiating the service.
Arrangements are under the direction of the BOYKO & REARDON TELEGRAPH ROAD MORTUARY & CREMATION, Ventura.
