Bonnie Matta (59), a lifelong resident of Brockton, passed away suddenly on February 11th.
Bonnie proudly completed her GED and furthered her education by taking courses at Massasoit Community College. She fulfilled a lifelong dream of becoming a writer and author with the recent publication of her Christian children’s book, Christmas in Smittyland. Through her writing, Bonnie sought to teach children that the true reason for celebrating Christmas is to honor the birth of Christ Jesus, our Savior.
Bonnie deeply loved her Lord and Savior and was a faithful congregant of the Word of God Church in Brockton for many years. Her faith was the foundation of her life and was reflected in her kindness, devotion, and joyful spirit.
She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Bonnie leaves behind her loving and faithful sister, Ruth Rowe; her son, Fred; her daughter, Victoria; her nephew, Kyle Rowe; her sister-in-law, Doreen; and many cherished nieces and nephews. Bonnie is now in the presence of her God and Savior, joyfully worshipping and serving Him forever.
Following cremation, services will be held at the convenience of the family.
