Domingos Barbosa Da Silva (89) of Boston passed away on January 30th at Boston Medical Center. He was the beloved husband of the late Maria Socorro Barbosa Da Silva.
Born in São Lourenço, Fogo, Cabo Verde, Domingos was the son of the late Letícia Barbosa Da Silva. He worked for many years in the construction industry and was a faithful communicant of St. Patrick’s Church in Boston.
Domingos is survived by his two sons, Manuel Alberto Barbosa Da Silva and Sandro Hipólito De Pina Freire; his two daughters, Maria Gorete Silva Mendes and Ludovina Barbosa Da Silva; his brother, Cristiano Marcelino Barros Andrade; and his sister, Maria Gomes Barbosa. He was a devoted grandfather to Victor, Melissa, Leandro, Tunoca, Esmael, and Maira, all of whom will cherish his memory.
Visiting hours will be held at St. Patrick’s Church, 400 Dudley Street, Roxbury, on Friday, February 6th, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Patrick’s Church on Saturday, February 7th, at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at New Calvary Cemetery, 800 Harvard Street, Mattapan.
