Georgia Lynn Gonzalez, age 76, passed peacefully on December 9, 2025 at her home in Oxnard, California while holding her husband’s hand and surrounded by loved ones. Born on March 24, 1949, in Monterey, California, Georgia lived a life defined by love, generosity, and devotion to family.
Georgia was the heart of her home and the soul of every gathering. She was a loving, caring, kind, and giving woman with a heart of gold. An amazing cook, she nourished not only bodies but spirits—bringing people together through food, laughter, and warmth. Her greatest joy and most important purpose in life was her family, whom she loved deeply and unconditionally.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Fernando Gonzalez; her three beloved daughters, Kim Clever-Frutos, (David) Shelley Clever-Winbush (Andy), and Angelina Gonzalez; sister, Sandra Queen (Richard ); also her six cherished grandchildren, Andrew Bowman (Bianca), Anthony Bowman (Brittney), Zachary Jones (Carolina), Desmond Winbush, Laila Gonzalez and Luke Gonzalez, seven great-grandchildren, with an eighth eagerly awaited; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends who were blessed to know her.
Georgia’s life was a beautiful example of quiet strength, compassion, and grace. Her love lives on in the hearts of all who knew her, and her spirit continues through the generations she leaves behind. Though she is no longer with us in body, we trust she rests in God’s loving embrace and is joyfully reunited with her sister Debbie Washburn as well as other loved ones who have preceded her.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Joseph P. Reardon Funeral Home 757 E. Main Street, Ventura, CA 93001.
A reception will follow from 1:00-4:00pm
Georgia will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
