James W. Bell, 73
Dateline: Wareham, MA James W. Bell, age 73, of Wareham, formerly of Mansfield, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 24, 2025, surrounded by his loving family, at the Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River. He was the beloved husband of Donna S. (Lundblad) Bell. Born in Taunton, MA on March 29, 1952, he was a loving son of the late Robert H., Jr. and Charlotte F. (Robertson) Bell. Jim grew up and was educated in Mansfield. He was a 1970 graduate of Southeastern Regional Vocational Technical High School and for the past fifty-five years had been employed as a master cabinet maker. A resident of Wareham for the past thirteen years, Jim was a former longtime resident of Mansfield and a communicant of Saint Mary’s Church in Mansfield. When younger, he coached Mansfield Pop Warner Football and served as an umpire for Mansfield Little League. Jim also served the community of Mansfield as a former Mansfield Call Firefighter. Jim’s happiest time were always in the presence of his adoring family and being a grandfather made his life complete. His hobbies included being an avid fisherman, attending yard sales and he will always be remembered for his strong work ethics. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his devoted sons, James W. Bell, II of Foxborough and Peter B. Bell and his fiancé Chelsea Fields of Blackstone. He was the cherished grandfather of Opal and the dear brother of Robert H. Bell, II of Middleboro, formerly of Mansfield. He is also survived by his many loving cousins and friends. His Funeral Mass, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be celebrated on Saturday, December 6th at 11:30 A.M. in Saint Mary’s Church, 330 Pratt Street (Route 106) Mansfield. Burial will follow at Saint Mary’s Cemetery in Mansfield. Visiting hours have been omitted.
