
                                Richard W. Hannemann, 82 of Chester, NH died Thursday October 30, 2025 at the Catholic Medical Center, Manchester, NH. Dick was born in Manchester on April 10, 1943, a son of the late John and Georgette Hannemann. He had been a resident of Chester for the past 40 years, formerly living in Derry.
Richard will be remembered for his love for his family. He was a wonderful loving caring husband ,father, and grandfather. 
Richard was a cabinet maker by trade, and construction worker.  He had so many talents, that they actually called him Mr. Experience. Richard had a passion for cooking. Whether he was making new recipes or perfecting the old favorites. Some of his favorite moments were in the kitchen with his daughter & grandchildren teaching them how to cook. Throughout Richard’s life he loved hunting, fishing, riding his Harley and making people laugh. He truly loved the outdoors & had a great sense of humor and caring spirit that has touched everyone’s life. He will never be forgotten. 
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Margaret “Peggy” (Carney) Hannemann of Chester, three children; Basil Newcomb of Chester, Cherie Ross of Derry, and Craig Hannemann and his wife Michelle of Manchester, six grandchildren; Tiffany, Emily, Timothy, Laurie, Nicole, and Megan, four great-grandchildren; Isabella, Kylee, Olivia, and Mason, three siblings; Joseph Hannemann of Manchester, Margaret Coulter of Manchester, and Sandra Goodno of Missouri, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Following cremation, calling hours will be held on Friday November 7, 2025 from 9 – 11am in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. Funeral services will follow in the funeral home at 11:00am with burial to conclude at Great Hill Cemetery, Chester. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
