Ugo Menichelli of Reading, age 71, passed away on Sunday, October 5th. Born in Rome, he was raised and educated in Somerville, the son of the late Fausto and Agnese (Tierno) Menichelli. Ugo proudly served in the Marine Corps during the Vietnam War, and after returning to civilian life was employed for many years as a mechanical designer at MIT Lincoln Laboratory.

Ugo was an avid hunter, and also loved to fish. He enjoyed landscaping his property, and was an accomplished do-it-yourself carpenter. Ugo lived in Reading for the past 35 years.

Ugo was the beloved husband of Linda (French) Menichelli, the devoted father of Teresa Menichelli, Anthony Menichelli and Fausto Menichelli, and the dear brother of Foster Menichelli. According to his family’s wishes, all funeral services will be private.
