Maria Borges De Almeida (82) of Brockton died September 2nd in the Boston Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Joao Batista Pereira.
She was born in Sao Joaquim,SC, Brazil, the daughter of the late Hermelino Alves De Almeida and Afra Borges De Almeida. Maria was a member of the Revival Church for the Nations in Stoughton and enjoyed her coffee in the morning, singing, telling stories, and socializing with her family and friends.
Maria is survived by 6 sons, Hermelino Pereira Neto of Brazil, Benjamin Pereira Neto of Easton, Hernandes Borges-Pereira of Brazil, Joao Jean-Baptiste Pereira Filho of Brazil, Renato Pereira of Stoughton, and Daniel Borges Pereira of Brazil, her daughter Janete Nye of Brockton, 21 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Following Cremation, a Memorial Service will take place in the Revival Church for the Nations, 1778 Washington Street, Stoughton at a day and time to be announced.
