Duncan A. “Bud” Ferguson, Jr., age 88, of Providence, a native of Mansfield, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 22, 2025 at the Heritage Hills Nursing Home in Smithfield, RI.
Born in Mansfield, MA on June 4, 1937, he was a loving son of the late Duncan, Sr. and Ida M. (Melbourne) Ferguson.
Bud grew up in Mansfield and was a 1955 graduate of Mansfield High School. He continued his education and had attended the University of Pittsburgh.
Prior to retiring, Mr. Ferguson had worked as a salesman at the former Anderson-Little. He was an avid reader, enjoyed wine and spending time amongst family and friends.
He was the dear brother of the late Elaine Haughton, Carol Cleary and Gary Ferguson. He was the longtime friend of the late James Andrade. He is survived by his loving nieces and nephews.
His funeral service, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Thursday, September 18th at 11:00 A.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main Street, Mansfield. Burial will follow at the Spring Brook Cemetery in Mansfield.
