Obituary

Beloved daughter of the late Robert L. and Norma H. Doucette. Cherished sister of the late Laurence R. Doucette (Duck), James F. Doucette (Wesa) and his wife Marie, Paul M. Doucette (Scaldy) and his wife Marlena, and Lynne A. Morris and her beloved late husband Bob. She is also survived by her beloved Partner in Life, Jaime Romkey (Squirrel), as well as our nieces, our nephew, cousins, extended family, and many, many friends.

Beanie passed peacefully surrounded by family and friends on July 31st, 2025 at her “Happy Place” of Falmouth, Cape Cod.

Beanie will be forever known for the kindness of her huge heart, compassion for others, love of all creatures great and small and her love of family and friends, of which there are many.

She was proud to nanny some of her friend’s young children when they were growing up and who are now adults on their life’s path… to them she is considered a second mom.

Jeanne worked for the Town of Needham at Pollard Middle School for 20+ years. She enjoyed feeding the troves of Pollard students who passed by her through the years, with a smile on her face and a kind word. She also cultivated friendships with her co-workers over the years and enjoyed their friendships outside of work to this day.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday, August 8 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 1305 Highland Avenue, Needham. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made in Jeanne’s memory to Roxie’s Place Animal Sanctuary, roxiesplace.org

Reception to follow at the Needham Village Club, 83 Morton St, Needham, MA 02494.
