Stefanie Brigitte Kuehn Schwartz, 57, of Camarillo, CA, passed away on July 13th, 2025 in her home in Camarillo. Stefanie was born in Karlsruhe, Germany to Johannes and Rosemarie Kuehn on October 26th, 1967. She graduated in 1985 from Royal High School, then went on to earn English and Biology bachelor’s degrees and a Master of Education degree from University of California, Los Angeles, and Teacher’s and Administrator’s Credentials. She enjoyed reading science-fiction and fantasy, baking, hiking, traveling abroad, and collecting anything to do with dragons. She received numerous Teacher of the Year awards, earned the National Board Certification in Science, obtained a Parent Teacher Association Honorary Service Award and was involved in several educational programs including college-prep AVID class, and managing summer classes.
Stefanie is survived by her husband, Michael Schwartz of Camarillo; her son, Alexander Suffolk of Chatsworth, CA; her daughters, Tara, Kristina, and Susana Suffolk of Camarillo, CA; her sister, Heidi Kuehn of Flagstaff AZ; her brother, Tomas Kuehn of Woodland Hills, CA; her parents, Johannes and Rosemarie Kuehn of Simi Valley, CA; and her niece and nephew, Kai and Max Graves of San Diego, CA.
Stefanie was many things throughout her life - a teacher, a traveler, a friend, a daughter, a sister, a wife, and a mother, she was the absolute best of all of these. More than anything else in life, she found the most pride and joy in caring for her four children, Alex, Tara, Tina, and Susie Suffolk, to whom she devoted her life. There’s no better example of what a loving mother should be than Stefanie Schwartz. She will be remembered with love by her family always as they carry that love with them for the rest of their lives.
Funeral services will be held at the JOSEPH P. REARDON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICE, 757 E. Main Street, Ventura, CA, on Saturday, August 23rd, 2025 at 11:00 AM with Reverend Gary Dickey officiating.
