Karen Ann (Morin) Konetzny, 76, of North Fort Myers, FL and Marshfield, MA, formerly of Shrewsbury, MA, passed away peacefully on July 22, 2025.
Karen was born on September 7, 1948, in Hudson, MA to the late Kenneth and Elizabeth (Beland) Morin and was a graduate of Hudson High School in 1966. Most of her career was spent at Loomis Armored U.S. in Boylston, MA. Karen and her loving husband, Bob, spent their retirement wintering in the Pine Lakes Community in North Fort Myers while spending the summer in Marshfield. In addition to her love for reading, Karen’s hobbies included quilting, sewing, knitting, and embroidering. She loved crafting and making gifts for others. Karen and Bob traveled extensively during retirement with friends and family, taking tours and cruises all over the world. Karen was predeceased by her brothers, Kenneth Jr. and Robert Morin. She is survived by her husband, Robert Konetzny; her daughter, Lynne (Charles) O’Donnell; her grandson, Charles (Nicholas) O’Donnell; her sister, Cathy Mitchell; her brothers-in-law Paul (Jeanne) Konetzny and Thomas (Patricia) Konetzny; and many nieces, nephews, and close friends. Funeral will be held on Wednesday, August 6th at Brady & Fallon Funeral Home, 10 Tower St., JAMAICA PLAIN at 9:00 am followed by a Mass of Christian burial at Holy Name Parish, 1689 Centre Street, WEST ROXBURY at 10:00 am. Interment in Forest Hills Cemetery, JAMAICA PLAIN. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, August 5th at the Brady & Fallon Funeral Home, 10 Tower St., JAMAICA PLAIN from 4:00 – 8:00 pm.
