Marjorie Germaine (Swan) Dwyer Age 96, of Dedham passed peacefully on July 11, 2025. She was the beloved wife of the late Richard “Dick” Dwyer to whom she had been happily married to for 63 years.
Marjorie grew up in Somerville, Massachusetts. She was the oldest child to Joseph and Germaine Swan and had four younger brothers. In 1954 she married the love of her life Richard “Dick” Dwyer. They built their forever home in Dedham, Massachusetts where they lived for the rest of their lives. Their neighbors became family and always watched out for them. When her first son was born she became a stay at home mother. When her kids went off to school she then took a job at Dedham Savings where she worked for 36 years and made wonderful friends. After retirement, she enjoyed spending time with family and getting lunch with friends “down the square.” Marge and Dick loved the beach and often vacationed in Ogunquit, Maine. Marge liked to keep busy, she was in a ladies candlepin bowling league on Centre street in West Roxbury as well as “The Tuesday Night Ladies Club.” You would often find her catching the train into Boston as well as walking to Endicott Library to check out books as she had a love for reading. She was an amazing baker, her chocolate chip cookies were always a requirement at family gatherings. She loved to collect Dedham Pottery. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family, her children, her grandchildren and her great grandchildren.
She is survived by her children; Robert E. Dwyer (Maryann) of East Walpole, Joan Cousar (Charles) of Jacksonville, FL, Jean Dwyer (John) of Andover, and Michael Dwyer (Juliet) of Narragansett, RI.
