Elena (Renda) Campbell, age 92, of Kensington, CT passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 10th, at The Hospital of Central Connecticut in New Britain. Born in Boston, raised in Somerville, a graduate of Somerville High School, she was the daughter of the late Onofrio and Maria (LaColla) Renda.

Elena worked some years as the secretary for a trucking company, then she worked decades for the City of New Britain, CT, from which she retired. She and her husband William built a home and lived in Kensington, Connecticut for 70 years.

Elena was the beloved wife of 62 years to the late William S. Campbell, and the dear sister of the late Vito Renda, Nicholas Renda, Pasqualina Frasso, Vita D'Angeli, Anna Howard, Anthony Renda, Rose Plagenza, Marie DeLisle, Frances Tencati, and Catherine Renda. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, June 17th from 9 - 11 AM in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, celebrated in Saint Clement Church, 71 Warner St., Medford, at 11:30 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Services will conclude with burial at Mt. Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Elena’s name to the charity of one’s choice.
