Obituary

Mark J. Campbell, 83, of South Boston, MA, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2025. He is survived by his beloved partner, Patricia Leach, and her children, Tara Tichy and her husband Jason Tichy of San Diego, CA and Greg Leach and his partner Teresa Conant of Dorchester and cherished grandchildren, Zoe and Phoebe Tichy. Mark was the son of the late Joseph A. and Mary C. Campbell, and the devoted brother of Mary Campbell of North Easton, the late Joseph Campbell, Jerry Campbell of North Easton, and Rick Campbell and his wife Nancy of Burlington. He was a loving uncle to Erin Rooney, Jessica, Gregory, Courtney, Jack, and Kathryn Campbell.

Born in South Boston, Mark spent his early years in South Boston, Dorchester, and Randolph, and later lived in Cambridge, Newton, and ultimately returned to South Boston. He had a long and accomplished career, working for The Foxboro Company and Northrop Grumman before founding his own consulting firm, MJCampbell Associates. Mark concluded his professional life with great passion, teaching communication skills to doctors at the Harvard School of Public Health.

Mark had a lifelong commitment to fitness and adventure. In his early adult years, he was an active member of the Appalachian Mountain Club and the Charles River Wheelmen, and later enjoyed working out at Waverley Oaks Athletic Club. He loved discovering new fitness activities and traveling to unfamiliar places—always eager for a new experience.

Mark lived at the Allerton House in Weymouth for nearly a year, where he was supported by a compassionate team of staff and surrounded by fellow residents, he enjoyed meeting and conversing with. The community there brought him comfort, companionship, and connection in his final year.
