Prendergast, Bonnie (O’Keefe) of West Roxbury, formerly of Roslindale and Mission Hill, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 2, 2025 at the age of 76, after a courageous battle with lung cancer.
Bonnie, was the beloved wife to Dick Prendergast for 58 years, whose unwavering love and care were a constant comfort throughout her illness. The cherished daughter to Donald & Mary O’Keefe of Mission Hill.
Bonnie is survived by her husband Dick Prendergast of West Roxbury, MA, son Daniel Prendergast and wife Julie of West Roxbury, MA. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Christine Ryan and husband Danny of Saugus, MA, Kevin Prendergast and Mia Prendergast of West Roxbury and great-grandson Michael Ryan of Saugus, along with many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her son, Michael Prendergast of Foxboro and her brother Donald (Yogi) O’Keefe of Mission Hill.
Visiting hours will be held at the William J. Gormley Funeral Home, 2055 Centre St. West Roxbury on Monday, June 9tth from 3-7pm. Funeral from the funeral home on Tuesday, June 10th at 8:30am, followed by a Funeral Mass in the Basilica of Our Lady of Perpetual Help “Mission Church” at 10 o’clock. Relatives and friends invited to attend.
