In Loving Memory of Beverly Ann Cruthird
Beverly Ann Cruthird, 79, passed away peacefully on May 2, 2025, surrounded by family. She was born and raised in Boston, MA and has been a resident of Rockland for more than 50 years.
Beverly was predeceased by her loving husband, Tony R. Cruthird; her parents, Grace and John R. Gould, III; and her siblings Glen Gould and Marilyn Nicholson. She is survived by her devoted children Anthony, Michael, Frank, Laura and Liz; her dear brother, John R. Gould, IV; cherished sisters- and brothers-in-law, Anna Lee, Arlene, Ethel, Doris, Celeste, Yvonne, Harvey and Jesse; grandchildren; Chelsea, Stephanie, Samuel, Nicholas, and Christopher; great grandchildren Camden and Jonathan; and numerous nieces and nephews. Each of them held a special place in her heart and shared in the many memories that defined her generous spirit.
Beverly proudly was a full-time stay at home mother, and grandmother, her entire adult life and absolutely nothing brought her more joy!
Beverly was the most loving, caring and generous person you’d ever met. Always trying to offer advice, food and love and affection and then some to whoever needed it. She enjoyed spending time with family, traveling, visiting amusement parks, swimming and playing board games with family and friends. Her love for dancing and music—especially Doo Wop and Motown artists like The Temptations— filled our lives with rhythm and warmth.
Beverly was the most amazing self-taught cook and loved cooking family famous favorites like her meatballs and sauce. She was also an incredible baker and was continuously sharing her delicious creations like her chocolate mousse cake with family, friends and neighbors.
Beverly genuinely and deeply loved everyone in her life—and was, in turn, deeply loved by all who knew her. Our lives are richer for having been touched by her. She leaves behind a void that words cannot fill and will be deeply missed by all of us who were blessed to know her.
A private celebration of her life will be held by the family. In lieu of flowers or cards, please consider a donation to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Beverly’s honor.
