James E. “Jim” Morton, age 58, of Wakefield passed away on Tuesday, May 20th, at Lahey Clinic Medical Center of Burlington, surrounded by his loving family and friends. Born and raised in Medford, he was the son of the late Robert and Dorothy (Wilson) Morton. Jim was a graduate of the New England School of Law, and lived in Melrose before moving to Wakefield in 2018. He was a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association, and was employed by the Executive Office of Mass Trial Court.

Jim was the beloved partner of Jill Buckley of Wakefield, and the dear brother of Elana Daly and her husband Edward, Paula Pothier and her husband James, all of North Reading, Robert Morton and his wife Kathleen of Bradford, and Anne Basteri and her husband Robert of Northborough. He was the loving uncle of many nieces and nephews, and is also survived by his best friend Sean Carleton and many friends from the Tinny Cup Golf Group.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, May 27th from 4 through 8 PM in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, and again on Wednesday at 9 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 441 Fellsway West, Medford, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Services will conclude with burial at Forest Glade Cemetery in Wakefield.
