In Loving Memory of Louis Faveur Marcellus
Louis Faveur Marcellus, a beloved son of Maurice Marcellus and Roselina Borgelin, passed away on April 25, 2025, at the age of 65, following 30 days of health complications.
He is survived by his wife, Franchette Joseph; his two cherished children, Hermione Lissa Marcellus and Louis Menes Marcellus; his sisters, Marcleine Leandre, Roseleine Joseph, and Marie Weber; and many dear cousins like Laurence Marcelin, Ninon Borgelin, Robert Borgelin and families and friends. Louis was a devoted father who always made it a priority to ensure his children were well and supported.
Louis graduated from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU) with a degree in Agribusiness. He chose this field with the heartfelt intention of returning to Haiti to promote sustainable agriculture and cultivation management—a dream that remained close to his heart.
His passion for life shone through in all that he did, from his dedication to his work to the love and care he extended to family and friends. Louis was known for his kindness and warmth, qualities that endeared him to everyone he met. A true people person, he knew how to forge and sustain lifelong friendships—many lasting over 50 years.
A spiritual man, Louis had a deep love for God and lived by His word. He served as a Deacon during the Sunday Evening service at the United Methodist Church in Malden, and he found great joy in singing and worshiping. He was also a potential choir member at the Methodist Church in Haiti, where his faith was deeply rooted.
