James "Jay" Raposa, 53, of Fall River, passed away at home on Sunday, May 28, 2023. He was the son the late Manuel J. Raposa and Sally (Nicholson) Raposa of New Hampshire and the late Donna M. (Chavous) Raposa.
Mr. Raposa was born in Fall River and had been a lifelong resident of the city. He enjoyed going to the casino and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his brother: Jeffrey Raposa of Fall River; his sister: Jamie Smith and her husband Steven of Fall River; his uncle: Ronnie "Rabby" Raposa and his wife Markie of Fall River; 4 nieces: Samantha Smith, Tayla Arruda, Courtney Mendez & her husband Jesus and Shannon Sousa; a nephew: Kyle Raposa; along with many cousins.
Memorial visitation to which relatives and friends are invited will be Tuesday, June 6, 2023 from 5 - 7 P.M. at the Potter Funeral Home.
Interment will be private.
