Obituary

Merriam, Beatrice Ann (Lally) of Wellesley passed on April 26, 2023, at the age of 94. Bea devoted her entire life to helping people in need, especially in making children's dreams come true. She was a caring and selfless wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend as well as a mentor to fellow telecommunications professionals at AT&T and several major Boston hospitals. Born in Beverly to the late Edward and Mary Ellen Lally, Bea grew up in Dorchester with her two older sisters Elizabeth (Betty) Fricke and Theresa Peterson who both predeceased her. Bea married Arthur Merriam from Boston in 1954, and they moved to Wellesley in 1966. Her sons, Art of Leominster and Chris of Annapolis, MD, ask for your prayers to help celebrate her long and inspiring life of achievement serving the Church, her family, and the community. In addition to her two sons, Bea is survived by her two daughters-in-law Jean and Paige; her five grandsons Andy, Jarred, Ryan, Sean, and Michael; their wives Kerrie and Lori; her nine great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Bea's family and friends were her heart, joy, and legacy.
