Georgia was a first generation daughter of migrant workers, Brigido and Maurilia Viramontes. She was born in Santa Paula, California, and it was there she spent her childhood and young adult years with her parents, 7 brothers and 4 sisters enjoying happy years together. Georgia met her future husband, Joe Hector Cuilty, while working at Port Hueneme Naval Base. After a short courtship, they were married in 1954 and settled in Oxnard, California. She stopped working when the kids came along, and they kept her busy for the next twelve years. She then returned to resume her career as a data specialist at the Naval Construction Battalion Center in Port Hueneme, and she retired in 1993.
Georgia enjoyed photography, was artistic in drawing and sketching, and was an excellent seamstress. Her love of travel took her to faraway places that included a pilgrimage to Lourdes, the Holy Land, France, Morocco and other European destinations. Georgia was very devoted to her faith and had a life-long devotion to her church community.
