FALL RIVER… Mark A. Cleaves, age 50, of Fall River, MA passed away on Tuesday, March 22, 2023 in Tiverton, RI.
A lifelong resident of the city, Mark was born in Fall River to Bernadette Cleaves and the late Ernest Jones.
Mark worked in construction and even in his spare time enjoyed working with his hands. He also loved basketball, trips to the casino and playing bingo. Mark was a parishioner of Bethel A.M.E. in Fall River.
In addition to his mother, survivors include: sons, Corey Medeiros of Fall River, MA, Darren Furtado of Worcester, MA, Mark A. Cleaves, Jr., of New Bedford, MA, and Shane Cleaves of New Bedford, MA; daughter, Jade Cleaves of New Bedford, MA; brother, Thomas E. Cleaves of Woodville, TX; grandchildren, Ciara and Kaycen; niece, Vanessa and nephew Thomas, Jr.; several cousins, aunts and uncles.
Funeral service to which relatives and friends are invited to attend will be held at 7 PM on Monday, March 27, 2023 at South Coast Funeral Home, 1555 Pleasant Street, Fall River, MA 02723. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 5 PM to 7 PM. Cremation will follow.
