FALL RIVER… Robert M. Mercier, 61, of Fall River passed away March 23, 2023, at Charlton Memorial Hospital peacefully surrounded by his family.
Born in Fall River, he was a son of the late Robert J. and Doris G. (Anctil) Mercier. He was the brother of the late Baby Robert, Donald, and Normand Mercier. He was the lifelong companion of the late Cheryl Quigley who he missed dearly. He had been a lifelong resident of this city.
Mr. Mercier served in the United States Army National Guard and had worked for the City of Fall River Public Works Department for several years. He enjoyed fishing, walking, camping, and was a big fan of all New England sports teams. Spending time with his family and friends is what he treasured most.
Survivors include his sisters: Diane Mercier, Jeanne Magee, AnnMarie Mercier & wife Judy Aguiar, all of Fall River, Tracy Mercier and Joe Alzaibak of Swansea; his brothers: Paul Mercier of Tennessee, Todd Mercier & husband Kevin Brown of California, several nieces and nephews.
