Connie Papageorge (Polley), age 90 of Canton passed away March 8th. Born and raised in Omaha, NE, she moved to Milton at age 17 and graduated from Milton High School.
Connie was devoted to the family restaurant business and worked alongside her brothers as the Office Manager. She also managed her late husband’s medical practice in Hyde Park. She lived in Canton for over 60 years and was an active member of the Daughters of Penelope, the daughters of Laconia, the Boston Cathedral Philoptochos, and the Hellenic Women’s Club. Connie was an amazing cook and enjoyed entertaining for family and friends. Her home was always open to all. She was deeply loved and will be missed by all who knew her. Beloved wife of the late William Papageorge. Mother of Amy Parker and her husband Ian of Bristol, RI, George Papageorge and his wife Dana Troetel of NY, and the late Chris Papageorge and his wife Marianne Papageorge of N. Reading. Stepmother of Joan Vontzalides and her husband Nick of Ipswich and Bill Papageorge and his wife Cindy of Hampstead, NH. Sister of the late Jean, Tom, George, Nick, and Sam Polley. Grandmother of Nicole, Will, Caroline, Jillian, Nicholas, Stephen, Julie, and Daphne. Relatives and friends invited to attend a Funeral Service at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral of New England 514 Parker St. Roxbury Saturday morning at 11:00. Visiting hours prior to the service at the Cathedral Saturday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 am. Burial Forest Hills Cemetery, Boston.
