August 9, 1924- March 7, 2023
Geneva June Bayley, 98, of Anderson, passed away Tuesday morning, March 7, 2023 at Primrose Retirement Community in Anderson.
She was born on August 9, 1924 in Martinsville, Indiana, the daughter of Joseph and Martha (Baker) Harshey. Geneva grew up in New Castle, where she graduated from New Castle High School and attended New Castle Business College, moving to Anderson in 1967. She retired from Standard Grocery Company in 1984. June attended the Church of Christ and enjoyed bowling and fishing.
She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Trainor of Pennsylvania and her son, Norman “Buddy” (Susie) Allen of New Castle; stepson, Calvin (Julia) Bayley of Anderson; nine grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Preceding her in death were her parents; two husbands, Norman Allen and George Bayley; two brothers, Joseph and James Harshey; a sister, Donna Smith; a step-daughter, Darlene Lee; son-in-law, Felix Trainor; grandson, Bradley Todd Allen.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at 11:30 AM at
Rozelle- Johnson Funeral Service officiated by Pastor Don Harsh.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
Burial will take place at South Mound Cemetery in New Castle at 2 p.m.
Family wishes to thank the Primrose Staff for their comfort and care of June during her time with them.
Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society or American Heart Association.
