Edward N. Lukaszewicz of Canton passed away March 1st. Born and raised in Canton, he was a lifelong citizen of the town. He graduated from Canton High School Class of 1949 and served in the Air Force during the Korean War. Ed was named Citizen of the Year in the State of Massachusetts in 1988 by the House of Representatives and the Massachusetts State Senate. He was a member of Canton Conservation for over 30 years serving as Chairman for 26 years. He worked for Geiger Brothers Promotional Advertising Company as a Salesman for many years before retiring. Beloved husband of the late Mary E. (Skindiel). Father of Larry Lukaszewicz and his wife Lee of Canton. Brother of the late Helen Shellmer and Marion Nay. Uncle of Donna Stone of MO and 7 nephews. Visiting hours at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home 455 Washington St. Canton Sunday 2:00 to 5:00 pm. Funeral Mass at St. Mary’s Church, Walpole Monday morning at 10:30. Burial Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton. Air Force Veteran of the Korean War. Donations may be made in his memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at www.stjude.org. | |||||
