Lanette (Kestner) Weston, 67, of Alexandria passed away on March 1, 2023 at her son's residence following an extended illness.

She was born on April 18, 1955 in Anderson to Hoyt Kestner and Betty L. (Lewis) Copeland. She graduated from Anderson High School class of 1973 and Anderson College in 1981 with her Associate Degree in Nursing.

She was a nurse in the OB department at Community Hospital Anderson for over 35 years and helped deliver many babies.

She enjoyed the beach, the pool, the sunshine, boating and racing. She was an avid reader. She loved entertaining, cooking, and spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jay and Dorian Weston of Alexandria; her stepfather, Walter C. Copeland of Anderson; two grandchildren, Nickolas Knotts and Elizabeth Weston both of Alexandria; four siblings, Rick (Sharron) Kestner of Ocean Springs, MS, Dennis K. Copeland and Leslie French both of Anderson, and Timothy (Ruthann) Copeland of Fishers; a sister-in-law, Georgia (Walter) Johnson of St. Louis, MO; seven nieces and nephews, Chuck (Angie) Hanna, Brian (Stephanie) Kestner, Kelli Potter (Patrick) Finley, Matthew Copeland, Andrew (Sarah) Copeland, Benjamin Copeland and Bobby Moore; several great-nieces and great-nephews; special family, Robert and Julia Syverson of Anderson and Penny Syverson of Fortville.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Carolyn McFall and Kelly Bishop.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Danny Joe Weston who passed away in 1999; her mother, Betty L. Copeland; her father, Hoyt Kestner; her mother-in-law, Notra Weston; a brother, David Copeland; and her beloved dog, "Annie".

Funeral services will be at 1:30pm on Monday, March 6, 2023 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Pastor Jonathan Grubbs officiating and a nurse's honor guard service will be at the start of the service on Monday. Burial will follow at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Monday from 10:30am - 1:30pm at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Madison County Humane Society.
