Irene Curtis (Fallat) passed away peacefully on February 24th 2023 at Harrington Court in Colchester. Irene was born January 7th 1931 to James and Mary Fallat. She grew up in Quaker Hill and graduated from Chapman Tech High School. Irene was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She had various jobs in the area and most recently worked at Shoprite in Norwich where she worked in the Deli and volunteered with TVCCA as a senior companion.
She is survived by sons Ronald (Maria) of Preston, Michael (Jill) of Madison, Timothy (Kerry) of Griswold and Lonny of Summerland California, grandchildren Connie Buecker, Kari Curtis, Eric Curtis, Shannon Curtis, Jeremy Curtis, Joshua Curtis, Olivia Curtis Benjamin Curtis, Carly Curtis, and Ty Curtis, and great grandchildren, Curtis, Grace and Spencer Buecker, and Logan and Camden Curtis. She was pre-deceased by her parents, a brother James Fallat, a sister Eve Prezkop, a son Kevin Curtis, and a grandson Scott Curtis.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, March 10th, 2023 at 10:00 at St. Patrick’s Church, 32 East Main Street in Mystic. Burial will be private for the family at a later date.
