Virginia C. Bettinelli (Spiegel) age 84 of Canton, born December 7, 1938 she passed away February 9th. Born in Somerville, she was raised in Boston and graduated from Jeremiah Burke High School Class of 1957. She lived in Canton from 1971 to 1997 and moved to Windham, ME before most recently moving back to Canton in 2016. She worked as an Administrative Assistant in several industries before retiring from the Town of Windham, ME. Family was paramount in her life and she enjoyed attending all of her grandchildren’s sporting events. She was a member of St. Gerard’s Prayer Group and enjoyed spending time at the Julia Ruth House in Westwood.
Loving mother of Bernardo Bettinelli and his wife Carol of Stoughton, Francesca Bettinelli of ME, John A. Bettinelli and his wife Patricia of Canton, Domenic Bettinelli and his wife Melanie of Holbrook, Evelyn C. Campbell and her husband Peter of Peabody. She is survived by 22 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her former husband and close friend Domenico Bettinelli. Visiting hours at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home 455 Washington St. Canton Monday 5:00 to 8:00 pm. Funeral Mass at St. Timothy’s Church Norwood Tuesday morning at 11:30. Burial Mt. Hope Cemetery, Boston.
