On January 4th, 2023, Maxine Spaulding passed peacefully in Ventura California at the age of 94. Maxine Spaulding was born in Oklahoma to parents Jesse and Opal Hammer. The family relocated to Ventura California when she was a young girl and she called Ventura home for over 90 years. Maxine was married to the love of her life Edward Spaulding for over 30 years. They enjoyed traveling around the world together and attending Elks Club events.
Maxine was an avid bowler, bowling on a league twice a week well into her eighties. Maxine loved crafting beautiful dolls and turning any plain piece of clothing into a work of art. Maxine will be remembered for her witty humor, her generosity, and her love for her family.
Maxine is survived by her younger brother, John Hammer, her sister Carol Ghibaudy, her grandchildren Stephanie Durrie, Mike Logan, Jesse Logan, April Liewer, Jesse Franco, Danielle Franco, and her six great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at Ivy Lawn in Ventura on January 20, 2023 at 2:00. Arrangements are under the direction of Jospeh P. Reardon Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 757 E. Main Street, Ventura.
