Linda Adele Oliver, 81, of Ojai, California, passed away on January 9, 2023 at her beloved home on Creek Road. Linda was born in Ojai to Ray and Inez Roberson on June 4, 1941. She went to high school at The Academy of St. Catherine and graduated in 1959. She went on to complete courses in banking at Ventura College. Linda worked at American Commercial Bank for 25 years, forming lifelong relationships with many Ventura locals.
Linda enjoyed traveling the country, taking RV trips with her husband Lynn. After retiring from ACB, Linda owned the Keynote Lounge for 10 years. All her life, Linda showed love through cooking and baking, and bar patrons knew to come on Fridays for a free, homemade meal. After selling the Keynote, Linda bought a home on Creek Road, the same road where she was born. Linda loved sitting on her porch admiring the mountain view, planting a bountiful garden each summer, and raising rabbits, pigs, and chickens. She generously shared her homegrown produce, fresh eggs, and scratch-made treats with friends and strangers alike. Linda was thrilled with the birth of her great grandchild in 2022, and the two shared a very special bond.
Linda is survived by her husband, Lynn Gotch of Ojai, her sister, Susan Hermann of Ventura, her granddaughter, Tiffany Beecher of Ojai, and her great granddaughter, Charlotte Bagents of Ojai. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Inez Roberson, her sisters, Joan Clark, Patsy Whitteker, and Virginia Davis, her brother, Raymond Roberson, and her dear son, Dennis Oliver.
Family and friends are invited to Memorial Services to be held on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at 2pm in the JOSEPH P. REARDON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICE, 757 E. Main Street Ventura. A Celebration of Life will follow at the Keynote Lounge, 10245 Telephone Road, Ventura.
