Obituary

Cynthia Jeanne Webster, 75, of Derry, NH, passed away Friday December 30, 2022, at Parkland Medical Center in Derry, NH. She was born on January 21, 1947 in San Antonio, TX, a daughter of George and Nyo (Iserloth) Bierman, and had been a resident of Derry for the past 33 years.

A 1967 graduate of the New England Baptist School of Nursing, Cynthia worked for pediatrician Dr. Edward Sirois. That same year, she married Lloyd and they purchased their first home in Peabody, MA. She was a member of South Congregational Church in Peabody, MA where she sang in the choir for 25 years, taught in the Day School for 10 years and served as Day School treasurer for 35 years. The most important things in her life were family, friends, and her dogs. She never forgot a birthday or anniversary. She was welcoming to the various friends her children brought home -- as long as they liked dogs. Whenever possible, she attended sports games, dog shows, concerts, recitals, plays and musicals her children and grandchildren were in, often traveling out of state to do so. If she couldn't be there in person, she'd wait for a phone call to hear all the details. Fourth of July, Thanksgiving and Christmas family gatherings were favorites, as was Sister's Weekend. Filled with love, laughter and lots of food, the day would inevitably end too soon. The infamous "Bierman goodbyes" can last an hour or so.

Cynthia had a passion for Shetland Sheepdogs, breeding under the kennel name Will O'Wisp. She was a member of Colonial Shetland Sheepdog Club, Granite State SSC and the American Shetland Sheepdog Association, associate member of Blue Ridge SSC and an honorary member of the SSC of Greater Detroit. She served Granite State SSC as secretary, treasurer, show chair, trophy chair and in many other capacities. Her organizational skills were enviable. Cynthia was known for her kindness. She would warmly greet new exhibitors or spectators and patiently explain the judging procedure or how to decipher a show catalog. She celebrated the victories of her friends with as much joy as if they were her own. Her dogs were pets first and she truly enjoyed their company. They could frequently be found lounging on the couch or snuggling in bed with her.
The Boston Red Sox, Boston Celtics, and New England Patriots have lost one of their biggest fans.

She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Lloyd Webster of Derry; her son, Steven Webster and his wife Ashley Couchon of Barrington, RI; two daughters, Karen Peak and her husband Doug of Woodbridge, VA, and Elizabeth Krause, DVM and her husband Brian Krause, MD of Markham, VA; two brothers, Steven Bierman of Londonderry, NH, and Chris Bierman of League City, TX; five sisters, Barbara Corcoran of Murrieta, CA, Marsha Bierman-King of Laconia, NH, Jill Ryan of Plaistow, NH, Wendy Petruccelli of Stratford, CT, and Mindy Reeves of North Andover, MA; grandchildren Connor and Sarah Peak, Meghan Krause and Harper Webster, many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great nephews and her shelties, Molly and Quill.

Following cremation, calling hours will be held on Saturday April 29, 2023 from 9:00am to 11:00am at the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, Derry, NH. A memorial service will take place at 11:00am in the funeral home. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery, E. Derry Road, East Derry, NH.
