Carolyn M. Saggese, of Medford passed away peacefully, Monday, December 19, 2022, following a lengthy period of declining health. She was the beloved wife of Joseph A. Saggese, together sharing sixty years of marriage. Born in Somerville, Carolyn was one of nine children of the late John and Mary (Boyle) Mullane.

Raised and educated in Somerville, Carolyn was a graduate of Somerville High School. She worked for many years prior to her retirement as a teaching assistant and administrator with the Shore Education Collaborative of Chelsea. Mostly devoted to her family, Carolyn enjoyed and was happiest when surrounded by those she loved. Over the years she enjoyed spending time on Cape Cod and Martha's Vineyard during the warm weather. She was an avid reader, reading two to three books a week, mostly novels, love stories and mysteries. She cherished time with her family and especially loved being with her grandsons. She will be greatly missed.

In addition to her beloved husband Joseph, Carolyn is survived by her devoted son, Steven Saggese and his wife Amy of Buzzards Bay. She was the loving grandmother of Nicholas Saggese of New York City and Michael Saggese of Buzzards Bay. Sister of the late Helen Capone, Barbara Centrella, Richard, Albert, John, Walter, Paul, and Francis Mullane. She is further survived by many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours at the Dello Russo Family Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Tuesday, December 27th, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Followed by a funeral Mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High St., Medford, at 11:30 a.m. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford. It has been requested that in lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Carolyn's memory to the Alzheimer's Assoc., 309 Waverley Oaks Rd, Waltham, MA 02452.
