Edwin W. Russell Jr., age 82, passed away peacefully at home in the company of his loving and devoted family on Friday December 16, 2022.

Born in Athol and raised in Cambridge, Edwin was the son of the late Edwin and Mildred (Corlin) Russell. Ed worked for many years in the hotel industry as a food and beverage manager. He also worked many years as a chauffer and driver with Joseph’s Transportation in Medford. A Medford resident for many years, Ed lived for the last several years in Chelsea. A hard and dedicated worker by nature, Ed was devoted to his family and friends. He especially treasured his time with his granddaughters and also enjoyed quiet time enjoying coffee and reading the Boston Herald. He will be deeply missed by those who knew him.

The beloved father of Edwin III, Scott, Sean, Daniel and Holly Russell, Ed was a loving grandfather to Tami, Darlene, Ashlee, Amanda and Nicole. He was a loving great grandfather to Jalison and a dear brother to Jane, Butchie, the late Chubba, Gail, Judy and John. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Wednesday, December 21 from 4 – 8 PM at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford.
