Roland Bousquet, age 85, of Abington, passed away on Sunday, August 14, 2022, at South Shore Hospital in Weymouth. He was the loving husband of Yolande (Lambert) Bousquet and were married for 52 years.
Born and raised in Brockton, he was the son of the late Paul and Rose M. (DeHay) Bousquet.
He attended a junior seminary in Granby, Canada for the first three years of high school and then completed his last year at Brockton High School, where he graduated. Roland served his country proudly in the Unites States Army National Guard.
Rollie worked as a printer at M.B. Claff & Sons, Inc. for 36 years. He will be remembered as being carefree, pleasant, and self-confident. Mr. Bousquet was always smiling and laughed often. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his wife. In his younger years, he enjoyed playing sports including baseball, basketball, fishing, and bowling. Later in life, he enjoyed watching television and local sports.
Besides his wife, he leaves his brothers, Robert Bousquet and his wife Anne of Brockton, Raymond Bousquet of California and the late Roger Bousquet; his in-law’s Marguerite Lambert, Claudette Lambert, and Estelle Lambert all of Lowell and the late Pauline Bernier and Gerard Lambert; several nieces, Michelle Bousquet of California, Barbara Bousquet of Wareham, Suzanne Emerson of Halifax, Melanie Peterson of Abington, Jennifer Bezanson of Abington, Michelle Lambert of Chelmsford, and Jacqueline Lambert of New Hampshire; a god child John Lambert of North Carolina; as well as many great nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Roland’s committal service and interment on Friday, August 26, 2022, at 12:00 pm in St. Joseph Cemetery, 96 Riverneck Road, E. Chelmsford. Visiting hours will be respectfully omitted.
