Obituary

Garland D. Earley, 83 passed away on June 14, 2022 in Ventura, CA. Garland was born in Bartlett Dam, Arizona to Howard G. & Theona L. (Kilgore) Earley on October 6, 1938. The family lived for many years in Arizona, finally moving to El Paso, Texas where he graduated from Austin High School in 1956. While in High School he joined the United States Marine Corps Reserves, served 4 years active duty after graduation, after which he moved to Ventura to be with his family. In 1963, he met and married his wife, Ann (Rodney) Earley. In 1964, he joined the Carpenters Union through the Ventura College Apprenticeship program. Over the years, he obtained an AA from Ventura College and then went on to earn an AS degree. in his younger days he like to Camp, Fish, and Bowl but as he got older his body made him slow down. He was a member of the Independent Order of Foresters and for several years served on the board of representing Ventura County Foresters.

Garland is survived by his wife, Ann, a niece, Donna (Joe) Elsaesser of Florida, nephews, Howard (Rhonda) Earley, David Earley, Scott Earley, all of Arkansas and numerous great nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Theona Earley, a sister Youve Felkins, a brother, James Leon Earley and a nephew, Leon Earley. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to a charity of your choice.

Family and friends are invited to visiting hours to be held on Wednesday evening June 29, 2022 from 4 to 7pm in the JOSEPH P. REARDON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICE, 757 E. Main Street Ventura. Graveside funeral services will be held on Thursday June 30, 2022 at 2pm in Ivy Lawn Memorial Park, Ventura.
