Audrey K. Emmerich died gently in her sleep on June 7th. She is held closely in the hearts of her 4 daughters, Kathy Hersh, Barbara Barakat, Denise Sullivan, Christine Koester, her 15 grandchildren & 8 great-grandchildren. The glue of her family, Audrey was married 59 years to John J. Emmerich who passed in 2009.
The daughter of first generation Americans, Audrey was raised in NYC in a loving, faith-driven family. She graduated Fordham University with a BS in Accounting in 1949.
The family set down roots in Needham in 1963. Audrey loved family, children, the great outdoors & our NH get-away chalet. Her adventurous, kind spirit will be sorely missed.
A Memorial Mass to be held at St. Susanna’s Church, Dedham on June 10th at 9 a.m. (with a viewing beginning at 8:15). Immediately following will be the burial in St Mary’s Cemetery, Needham and a celebratory gathering at the home of her daughter, Denise, 89 May St., #4, Needham.
