CHICOPEE – Gloria Jean (Arpin) Lenart, 79, of Chicopee, was Called Safely Home on Monday, June 6, 2022. She passed into Eternal Life at The Arbors in Chicopee surrounded by the care and comfort of her loving family. She was born in Southbridge on November 11, 1942, a beloved daughter of the late Raoul J. and Loretta J. (Kozlowski) Arpin. She was raised in Southbridge, graduated from Saint Mary’s High School in Southbridge and had moved to Chicopee in 1971. She was employed as a Hairdresser for many years and later worked as an Office Manager at the former Olde Tyme Foods in East Longmeadow. She was a former communicant of Saint Mary Church in Southbridge and currently was a communicant of the Basilica of Saint Stanislaus Bishop & Martyr Church in Chicopee. During her leisure time, she enjoyed arts and crafts, quilting, crocheting, knitting, reupholstering furniture and embroidering. She also enjoyed cooking, playing bingo, Sudoku puzzles, crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles and playing cards. Above all, she loved spending time with her family and her many friends. She leaves her beloved husband and soul mate, David M. Lenart. They were married on January 23, 1971 in Sturbridge and were blessed with over 51 years of happiness together. She also leaves her three loving children, Michael A. Lenart and his wife, Sheri, Marc A. Lenart and Bonnie J. Gauthier and her husband, Jason; her five cherished grandchildren, Ali and Gabe Lenart, Marc Lenart, Jr. and Pacey and Kaysen Gauthier; her cherished great grandson, Nicholas Moe; her two dear sisters, Ruth Corbin and her husband, James, and Doris Zimmer; her dear brother in law, Michael Lenart and his wife, Cynthia; her dear sister in law, Regina Clayton; and her many dear nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family members and friends. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her dear sister and brother in law, Marie Saucier and her husband, George; and her two dear brothers in law, William Zimmer and John Clayton. Her Funeral Services and Burial will be private. There are no visiting hours at the St. Pierre – Phaneuf Aldenville Chapels, (413-532-9806), 13 Dale Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. The parking lot and main entrance are located in the rear of the funeral at 20 Lafayette Street, Chicopee, MA 01020.
