She was also predeceased by her parents: James Wesley and Mary Elizella Miller, her brothers: James "Junior", Richard "Dick", Joseph "Joe", and Herman "Hermie", and her grandson Sean Patrick Barclay.

Mom was a member of Parkview United Methodist Church and attended University Heights United Methodist Church. She was the daughter of a Spanish American War Veteran and she graduated from Knightstown High School.

Her main career was raising four boys. Dad was in the Air Force and she followed him from Wright- Patterson, Tyndall AFB, Okinawa Japan, to finally Cape Charles, Virginia. From there, the family moved to Indiana where Dad worked at Montgomery Wards. She did an outstanding job raising her children to which she was compensated with more grandchildren to have an impact on. She cleaned houses, apartments, waitressed at JC Penny, managed the concession stand at Mounds state park, managed the Pizza King in Chesterfield. She then wound up as a custodian/caterer for the Anderson Fine Arts Center from 1985-1998 when she retired to take care of our father.

She enjoyed her many bus trips with the Anderson Fine Art Center with her co-worker and lifelong friend Tim Swain. They enjoyed doing crossword puzzles together on Tim’s lunch break. She really enjoyed her trip to Savannah, Georgia to see The Lady and Sons restaurant. She was a big fan of Paula Deen cooking show because butter makes everything taste better. A true culinary artist she was always writing down and trying new recipes. She taught numerous people over the years to be better cooks.

She enjoyed reading at home. She read and shared many novels over the years with family and friends. While in Hospice, she discovered the E-Reader by Kindle we signed her up for Kindle unlimited. From August of 2021, she read 147 books, mostly Cowboy Romance novels.

These last few years, her tenacity showed through in and out of the hospital and rehab, then finally 16 months in Hospice care at home catered to by her family. She passed while listening to Dean Martin. We know she is dancing with our Father in heaven.
