PLEASE NOTE CHANGE OF TIME IN FUNERAL SERVICES
Gerald D. Tardif, 79, of Lynn, passed away peacefully at the Lahey Beverly Hospital on April 1, 2022 with his family by his side. He was the loving husband of Gail R. (Story) Tardif with whom he had shared 57 years of marriage.
Born in Shawinigan, Quebec, Canada, he was the son of the late Leonard E. and Marielle (Deschenes) Tardif. He and his family moved to Salem in 1961 where he graduated from St. Joseph Academy. Gerry first worked for in his father’s business the former Colonial Livery Service and later worked for the former Parker Brothers Game Co. He left Parker Bros. to work in I.T. for the turbine engine division of GE in Lynn. In an entrepreneurial spirit he started a small business selling Beanie Babies, Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh cards following his retirement. Gerry was truly devoted to Gail, his children and grandchildren and enjoyed any time spent with them. He was an avid hockey fan, especially for the Canadian teams and was enormously proud of his grandson’s, Rev. Nicholas Stanley’s newly published book.
In addition to his wife Gail, he is survived by his daughters and grandchildren, Natalie A. Stanley and husband David and their sons Nicholas and Matthew Stanley all of Lynn, Chantal R. Janvrin and husband Glen and their sons and daughter, Glen & Benjamin Janvrin and Alana Janvrin all of Beverly, his sister, Claire A. Cirafice and husband Peter of Beverly as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his siblings, Marielle Gill, Astrid Tardif and Leonard Tardif.
