Jane Elizabeth (Sullivan) Crogle, age 67, passed away May 6, 2022 at the Yale New Haven Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Jane was born September 5, 1954 in New London to the late Daniel P. Sullivan and Edith E. (Kelly) Sullivan.
Jane will be missed deeply by her husband of 31 years Alan G. Crogle and her two sons; Michael P. Dyer of Mystic and William G. Crogle and his wife Jessica M. Crogle of Montville, granddaughter Lauren E. Botkin of Omaha, NE and her sister Barbara L. Walsh and her husband Dennis M. Walsh of Mystic. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Jane was predeceased by her brother Daniel P. Sullivan of Vernon and her sister Sharon F. Lizak and her husband Paul F. Lizak of Tariffville.
After graduating Stonington High School in 1972, Jane worked at the Groton Library, Submarine Base Credit Union and then at Electric Boat as an administrative aide, where she met Alan. They were married at Blue Beards Castle St. Thomas, VI in 1990 and settled in Old Mystic enjoying life and raising a loving family. Jane loved the beach, her cats and was an avid reader. She enjoyed watching the wild life in the back yard, gardening, cooking, and hosting amazing family parties.
The family will greet relatives and friends at the Dinoto Funeral Home, 17 Pearl Street, Mystic on Friday, May 13 from 5 to 7 p.m. A service will be held at the Dinoto Funeral Home on Saturday, May 14 at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Patrick Cemetery, Mystic.
