Debra Kay "Debbie" (Raper) Barnes, 71, of Chesterfield died May 2, 2022 at Miller's Merry Manor in Chesterfield after a brief illness.
She was born August 13, 1950 in Anderson the daughter of James R. and Glendora (Lindzey) Raper. She was a homemaker and worked data entry and secretarial work at various therapists before retiring in 2008.
She is survived by her daughter, Wendy Engle of Chesterfield; grandson, Benjamin Engle; sister, Terri (Jon) Burk of Anderson and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Harry R. Barnes and her son, Andrew R. Barnes.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, May 9, 2022 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Pastor Mike Whiteman of Elm Grove Christian Church officiating. Burial will be in East Maplewood Cemetery.
Visitation will be from noon until the 1:00 p.m. service on Monday.
Memorial contributions may be given to American Heart Association.
